About those furry friends

  • We are a working farm with our own animals, tempting neighbouring grazing paddocks and machinery under way. So to avoid trouble for your and our animals we made the difficult decision to not allow pets.

Guest Safety

  • Grattai Grove cannot assume responsibility for any personal bodily injury incurred whilst being on our property, this is at your own risk. The same applies for any neighbouring properties.
  • Please check the provided map for our property boundaries
  • Please observe a safe distance from any machinery activity and check with us if you want to learn more about what farm work is happening during your stay
  • Please be mindful around the farm animals, especially with children. While they are all pets, they also have their own mind and might confuse fingers with carrots or might kick or box as they do with their fellow animals.

Fire and Water

  • Firepits can be used outside the bush fire season and we provide a reasonable stock of firewood for your enjoyment.
  • Limitations of usage of firepits might apply due to unfavourable weather conditions and we will advise you accordingly during your stay.
  • Grass and bushfires get started quickly, especially in dry conditions as we frequently experience them out here. Please don't load the firepits to the rim and be mindful of wind conditions.
  • There is a water hose at the fence line behind the firepit if required in an emergency or to dose the fire before you go inside.
  • We solely depend on rainwater for human consumption and for our animals and irrigation of our crop. Please be water-wise and avoid super long showers and/or other waste of this precious resource.
  • Our waste water is managed through septic tank systems. Please check the flyer provided on what can go down the drain and what shouldn't.

Smoking

  • Strictly no smoking inside any building which includes not only the accommodations but also any other shed or structure.
  • If you smoke anywhere on the property please put any butts into the general waste bins outside the buildings and make sure you don't create any fire hazards from hot butts or lighters of any kind

Cleanliness, Rubbish & Damages

  • We want you to feel at home and we understand that things happen.  If something breaks, please let us know.  We will only charge you for any larger damages and would simply prefer to know sooner rather than later. If we discover damages after your departure that are over and above normal wear and tear, we reserve the right to send you an invoice for the repair or replacement cost.
  • Please treat the indoor and outdoor furnishings, kitchenware etc with care so the next guests can enjoy it as you did.
  • Please wash up your dishes before you depart.
  • As a farm can be muddy, please check your shoes before you enter the buildings. We'd love our rugs to survive without major stains.
  • Please clean the BBQ after you used it or latest before you depart. Paper towels, vinegar and utensils are  in the trolley.
  • As a rural property, we have to take all rubbish to the tip ourselves. Please consider the environment and help us to recycle by separating in the usual categories of co-mingled (aka yellow bin), paper & cardboard (aka blue bin) and general rubbish (aka red bin).

Having a good time

You will be in wine country and we want you to have a good time as we love our glass of wine as well. We do ask you though to be responsible with your consumption of alcohol on the property and consider our neighbours (human and animals) later in the evenings.
In detail, please:

  • No additional guests on the property unless discussed with us beforehand
  • No loud music after sunset
  • Low voices outside after 9:30pm
  • No parties

Indemnity

You agree to indemnify us (including our directors, officers, employees, agents, contractors and neighbours if you enter their properties) for any loss or damage any of the foregoing suffer if you breach these Terms and Conditions or as a result of your willful or negligent act or omission with respect to our property, our neighbours' properties or our website.
